Our Captioning Services include but are not limited to:

Assess: Netstartups will work with your staff to train organizations in the use of Hi-Caption and Hi-Caption SE for use with Macromedia Flash. Additionally, Netstartups will work with your staff to identify and report departmental Web sites, intranets, or extranets requiring captioning of multimedia. Netstartups will also work with your staff to use AccVerify and AccRepair to assess and report Section 508 Standards violations and determine the tasks required to achieve Section 508 conformity. This assessment will cover total media content and any “special” circumstances.

Netstartups will prepare a detailed project schedule with prioritization of the work to be done, resource allocations, specific milestones & dates. The project management plan will include the schedule, define risks, recommend a change control and configuration management methodology, as well as a method for issue handling and resolution tracking. The plan will also cover the generation and distribution of secure progress reports configurable to match the specific requirements of each organizational component.

Correct/Caption: Netstartups will provide technical assistance or complete captioning services extending your internal resources to meet your immediate captioning needs. Whether Real, Windows Media, Quick Time Movies, Flash Movies or any media that can be read by any of the above players.

Test & Deploy: Netstartups will provide technical assistance in thoroughly testing each captioned movie prior to deployment of your organizations Section 508 compliant multimedia. Based on feedback from a limited number of identified users who serve as testers, Netstartups will fine tune the captioning solution (if needed) and assist your organization in any migration with or from existing systems. Additionally, Netstartups will maintain an ongoing list of problems and risks associated with the project. Focus will be on risk analysis and risk mitigation, which will be documented and provided to the responsible Section 508 Coordinator for the organization for which testing is being conducted.

Ongoing Compliance & Maintenance: Throughout the course of the project, Netstartups will provide extensive knowledge transfer to your organizational technical support staff throughout the project to ensure incorporation of captioning development methodologies and standards going forward as a part of all future organizational application solutions.
